--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hey guys (and ladies), I occasionally have an issue with my car (Vibe) bumping the rev limter when the auto tranny shifts from 1st to 2nd. Almost seems like the revs are building faster than the tranny can up-shift. Only does it from a dig, very sporadic. Tranny in D, simply flooring it of the line. First happened the last time I went to the track in September. Reset the ECU and it seemed fine. Then just happened again this month (2 times). No obvious pattern. Tranny shifts fine the rest of the time...weird Tranny fluid changed every 15,000 Miles, Tranny cooler etc. Here's a crappy video that may help.http://s46.photobucket.com/alb...9.flvWondering it there is a solenoid or something electronic going bad on me that controls the shifting.....Any ideas/input would be appreciated.__________________
is this when its not fully warmed up yet? like maybe the engine temp is warm but the first time you floor it fully? I could see the tranny and ecu with fi pushing rpm's fast it may not shift right the first time but getting it after that.
is it slipping?? when I upgraded the turbo on the LGT Jan 07, it did that to me. I had to upgrade the Valve body to handle the added low end torque. it wasn't as noticeable driving slower, but anytime I was on it, the car would rev up, but not shift until much later. I sent my VB/Clutchpacks off to IPT in NJ and they were able to modify them. Slapped them back in and voila! car ran like a dream and no more slipping or lag! maybe it's something similar? I know on the Vibe/Trix Valve bodies, there are more places that can modify them and probably much less than what I had to pay.
This is common on s/c with auto's.I have a valvebody and it helped a little, but it's still there.Like I said in another forum, look into the Emanage Ultimate,it gives you the ability to adjust shift points, and get rid of the unichip. It's all in the ECU.It's worse when you have more power, like me sitting at close to 180whp,it will destroy your tranny.

I feel sorry for the pain and anguish you are going thru with your tranny. It must be horrible for you. I will pray for your transmission, that it will hold up with having more power than it can handle........................ (this is a joke, btw, just a joke and should not be used for anything other than it's intended purpose)

She was definitely warmed up and at operating tempurature. Quote, originally posted by AKLGT »is it slipping?? when I upgraded the turbo on the LGT Jan 07, it did that to me. The tranny shifts shifts smoothly, if not a bit soft for my liking. Other than the Level 10 package a few folks are running, haven't been able to find any other aftermarket sources for this tranny. However I will keep digging into the issue. Thanks again folks for the input...as always!
