I recently installed a blaupunkt san deigo mp27 in my vibe and there seems to be a hissing almost static sound coming from the speakers, I've spoken to crutchfield and blaupunkt and they both say it is due to the factory amplifer. Has anyone else had this problem and if you did how did you fix it.

Has anyone else had this problem and if you did how did you fix it.It's very likely the amp is the problem... how is the HU integrated into the factory amp?? Which harness or LOC (line output converter) did you use? It's not cut-and-dry simple when working through a factory amp..
So you have the factory amped system then? M&T or the other one? If so, they likely sold you the wrong harness.. I haven't done an install with a factory amped system, but others here have, do some searching and/or wait for the others to chime in...
basically it lets you adjust the gain of each each speaker. All you need to do is wire it between your aftermarket head unit and your wiring harnness. When you wire it all up and get it connected to the car make sure all the gain controls are all the way down. Next turn your radio up half way, after you do that start adjusting each gain control, the all need to be the same I believe once you get it the way you want it put it all back and your done. And by the way the only place I have been able to find these is at crutchfield website and ebay, good luck I know it frustrating.
