Saw $5/gallon last week on vacation (It was the only gas pump in the middle of the 'North Woods' on the Gunflint trail. About 30 miles from Grand Marais.) We didn't buy there, and I noticed that the pump was old enough that they had to charge by the half-gallon in order for the pump to work.

Just paid 4.07/gallon in Hartford, Wisconsin at the Kwik Trip Station by McDonald's. Just for all you gas contious Viber's out there.... At Kwik Trip, you pay the same for either the regular unleaded or midgrade..... You got to look at the pump "price"... In Watertown, Wisconsin, both Kwik Trips sell the regular and midgrade for the same price. . . . . . ???????? Why is that?

Why is that?At many stations the mid-grade is an ethanol blend (usually 10%) and the price can be the same or even cheaper. On our current trip we found quite a few places in Iowa where the mid-grade was the least expensive per gallon. Ethanol contains a little less energy per gallon than normal gasoline, so check on the effect on your own mileage to determine which is better to use.
gas is pretty cheap in your area...i don't know why california gas price is so friggin high. on saturday i filled up my car at $4.89/premium i remember a while back i use to complain when gas was over 3 bucks...now i will be happy if it's 3 bucks haha
Ouch, $4.71! That hurts! We just topped off both of our cars at 4.17 tonight as the news showed stations nearby charging $4.49 so it was only a matter of time for the prices to go up everywhere.

I heard there weren;t enough gas related threads, so it's time to bump this one Paid $3.999 the last time I filled up, I paid $3.839 this morning, and the same gas station was $3.799 on the way home. Hope that trend continues
$3.58 here on the Navy base in Norfolk. About 10 cents more out in town.

I got gas at 3.71 here. its freakin awesome that the price for gas is going down. the only thing is that the prices are still too high to get myself another eclipse. But that doesn't mean i don't like my vibe. i got tinted headlights comin up. lol
in Marietta Ohio, yesterday, I paid $3.259/gallon for premium.Granted, I had saved up 60 cents off one refill for buying groceries at the local Giant Eagle, but still.. hope it keeps dropping.

Ok, so up here, for a while now, the gas stations have been basically matching the price per liter of gas to the same as a barrel of oil in US$. (3.78liters = 1 US gal)When the barrel cost went up to US$145/barrel, the gas would be CDN$1.45 per liter. As of yesterday, the barrel cost has gone DOWN to about $116, but all the local stations are still running at $1.25 and up.Everybody has a right to make a living, but this kind of outright gouging makes me want to go all HULK.

I just saw $3.44 yesterday. I never thought I'd see less than $3.50 again. I don't expect it to last, though.

Yep, it's falling - $3.39 the average here in the Huntington, WV/Ashland, KY region.Ironically, I just dumped my SUV for my new Vibe, and now the prices drop! But I'm happy I made the switch. I'll just be saving even more.
wow i haven't seen $2 prices yet...it's still around $3.40's right now. i'm just glad prices are going down finally lolbtw i think it's pretty bad that we're happy and excited to see prices in the $3's lol a few years ago i'll be complaining haha
