Change Rearview Mirror to CIPA Auto-Dimming - Model/Mount?

Post by jnewell »

Has anyone changed their rearview mirror to one of the CIPA auto-dimming models? They list two different mirror mount types. One is the "standard" type, the other is a cam-lock. According to their customer support, the standard type should work but I wanted to check here for any experience you all might have had. Many thanks.(First post - recently bought a 2005 Vibe after looking for a Matrix. Very, very impressed with these cars and everyone's enjoying the Vibe a lot.)

Wow, great link - thanks!Just to confirm, the Vibe uses the standard wedge mount mirror? (My son has the Vibe so I can't pop out and check.) All the pics and all the info I can find indicate that it does, but I keep reading that foreign cars (and I guess the Vibe would qualify, since it's a Matrix twin) use the camlock mount.
