What kind of load bars/cross bars should I get for ...

I have a 2008 Vibe. ( LOVE IT!)What kind of load bars/cross bars should I get for the Thule criterium roof mount bike carrier? I'm also wondering if anyone has this carrier mounted to a Vibe? It looks like the easiest to use - but I just noticed how far back the factory luggage rack sits on the car - not sure if the criterium would be the best bet? I'm looking for a carrier where I don't have to remove the tires. Does anyone have any recommendations?I'm interested in the Thule brand...Thanks!

The GM Utility Bars appear to be identical in dimensions and style to Thule bars and may well be made by them so any Thule accessories fit them. We got ours at:http://pontiac.dealerfit.com/s...8.phpThey attach/detach easily and come with locks.I'd expect the Thule Criterium bike mount to interfere with the hatch opening. Might be better to go with a fork-mount and put the bikes on facing the rear so there's no overhang past the rear crossbar. That would require front wheel removal, but that's usually pretty easy.

Oh yeah - I need the hatch & trunk to open freely for use on camping trips.Any suggestions for Thule fork-mount carriers?Thank you for the help.

The Thule 'Peloton' model attaches to the front fork of the bike after you remove the front wheel and it should have enough clearance so you can open the hatch or rear window if the bike is mounted with the fork at the back of the roof.
