lowering spring with 18" wheels! will work fine?

I'm about to buy the wheels and tires and Was wondering if I get the 18" I wont have any problems lowering later when i get the eibach springs.I read almost all the post but I can't find anything related with 18"s and lowering springs, I also would like to get any feedback from someone who has donde this and how it feels after it, considering sometimes my wife will be driving my car , lol

They will work fine. I was dropped 2+" w/18" wheels & 225/40/18 tires and there was no rubbing issues. The looked great! The ride was great, too, at first then deteriorated over the course of a year and I had to take them off. I couldn't stand the bone-jarring feeling of going over even the smallest of bumps/holes in the road. It does look cool though, if that's what your after. To each there own.

Eibach springs + 18s = what I have on my Vibe... so yes, it can be done.Just a fair warning, like BlueCrush said, it will ride like a log wagon... and you will be able to feel EVERYTHING! (not at first, but after about a year or so).

if I put only the wheels with not lowering, Will it look good or will suck? any thoughts?

look at my garage if you want to see what 18's look like w/o a drop.

I just saw Kamikaze's this last month and it didnt look to bad with out the drop. but idk how it handled or rode. My car has 18"s and is semi lowered, but the stock suspension is pretty cushy. Heres what i'd recommend if you want to lower it too, get the TRD springs, they dont lower it as much as the Tein's but with 18"s i bet they'll look good and they dont sacrifice as much comfort as the others as the drop isnt as low.

I have 18" + H-Tech Teins lowering springs. The car will ride rough and if you get wider tires they tend to follow the grooves in the road. You do give up comfort but it corners like crazy.

I barely notice a difference in ride quality, but my factory wheels where the 17's with 50 series tires... so I don't know how comfy the 16's are... not that it makes a difference but I've got the leather interior and I think the ride is pretty nice... then again, when I ride my bike it's like sitting on a piece of plywood, and I have the rebound set pretty hard so anything would be a nicer ride.

i was on stock 16's with hotchkis springs and the front would just pound bumps, the back was okay though. theres no doubt when u get lowering springs you lose lots of comfort.

Oh who needs comfort! Im on S-techs with 18's, I find at least 1 harsh bump every day, Its like once its lowered its attracted to everything in the road.Aron
