I just want to say thank you to all who have posted and responded to my requests for information. Your answers plus many other threads gave me the power of information. This was the smoothest deal I have ever cut, and actually enjoyed the process. If I had never come to this site after a google search, I would have gone for used Tacoma truck. Your passion for this car inspired my wife and I to actually sit down together to seriously research the Vibe for a family car purchase. First time in 20 years.I even received several sincere compliments from the dealership staff for being informed and prepared. It made their job easier and got them back on the lot faster for other customers. They seemed to appreciate that I recognized the effort they gave me. I guess it is about respect. Before I left one my salesman gave me a couple of oil change coupons and extra fuel vouchers at the Shell and told me thanks. Added another $125 or so to the deal.Again.... Thank You for such fast responses, it made a difference. I respect all the feedback I received.---------2007 Vibe (2SL26)14u/Platinum82C Slate ClothB57 Premium Monotone Package 350FE9 emissions N/CLV6 Engine 1.8L VVT 4 Cyl N/CMX0 Trans. 4 speed auto 850PCM Preferred Package 850UK2 XM Radio 199U65 Audio 7 speaker sound 290VK3 license bracket 0ZZ1 LAM Dealer 0ZZ2 LAM Group 0Options Total 2539Total Price 19,834(dealer offer) 19,000GM Discount? 1750GM Loyalty 1000"Car Show Special" 500quoted final before TTL 15,750Called and cut one last time.Final Price was $15,245 + TTL

We got our 08 about three weeks ago. The wife loves it after driving a full size p/u. I am a big person but it has plenty of room for me. I think you will enjoy it.
Update.Car is 15 days old now. We have put 1100 miles on it already. so far 28 in city/highway commute and 31 on the open highway Houston to San Antonio at 70 mph. Pro's - love the styling and now I notice all the vibes on the road whereas 2 months ago I never heard of a Vibe. Great Gas mileage.Con - stock XM radio doesn't show the artist and title like my VW. Little noisy on the road, but way better than I thought it was going to be. Thanks again for the help. We get our plates tomorrow. I'll get a picture up soon.
Welcome to GenVibe!and Congratulations! on your new purchase! Another H-towner on board, to boot! (well, sort of: Friendswood is south of Houston).Quote, originally posted by kenwood »What are the requirements to qualify for these two discounts?GM Loyalty 1000"Car Show Special" 500The first one is if you already own a GM vehicle. The second one was probably because they negotiated the deal when the Houston Auto Show was in town a couple weeks back...am I right?Quote, originally posted by ashift30 »Update.Con - stock XM radio doesn't show the artist and title like my VW. XM: Although it can't display more than one line, you can change the default display by pressing the RCL button until you see the screen you want as default, then pressing and holding the RCL button down until you hear a beep (like setting a preset). road noise: Two words for you: New tires. The stock tires were the noisiest I've had so far.
