Hi all,I'm one of the new guys here and i thought, to start things off right i might share some great info with everyone... BITOG or Bob is the oil guy... I know strange name, but the amount of REAL information is incredible... I don't like Fram because there element typically is smaller (less sq.in.) But there gasket is better. I had bought an "Advance Auto" filter. It is exactly like a PUrolator. Heck for $2 I thought great. Only to find that the textured paint is so thick the darn filter does not even spin on one turn after the gasket contacts the engine. Result a slow leak. Purolator is good . Just stay away from the Advance Auto one. I change my oil so often ...I just use Fram. ANOTHER thing, the newer WalMart super tech filter(black) no longer fits in the filter wrench(socket type). The darn thing slips. So that's another to stay away from. The older blue one was just fine.
