Ok, what I don't get... Why would Ford make this available in AUS, and not in the US? I can understand why we can't get some of the Jap spec cars, b/c they are made in japan, and don't export... but Ford is from here and we still can't get some of their cool cars... That's partly why I really don't care for Ford.

Turbo Focus... see, that's what I'm talking about, they make this piece of crap focus for the states, (yeah they made an SVT one too, but still not as good) and then they make this kick @$$ one for the European market? Isn't it called the Focus RS or something?I'd go in a heartbeat, even if it was just to get to drive them for a little while... to bad we can't buy and bring back...(I don't have that kind of dough)

Well ok so the opel is coming over, but not the turbo version..WTH?And come on... we have low sulfur diesel now and we cant get the turbo diesel awesome cars from europe that get 60mpg...just dont sell them in cali

Whelan, I know what you're saying... I guess, if you want the look of the focus, with the performance of the RS, or Mazdaspeed 3, for the money you would have spent on it, just make it your own...there's something about getting it from the factory like that though, (in regards to the focus)
Oh no doub the Focus could have been a hot little racer with a tasteful lip kit, bigger wheels and some more pumped power in the Zetec. And the SVT Focus was a nice car, but it came out a few years too late. If they had pushed that car immediately after the hatchback Si had come into being, and given it an update of say 185-190hp (exhaust, headers, whateever to boost it a bit) and then aimed their pricing and marketing directly at Si buyers. They would have romped the Si hatch and it's 160hp all over the place. However they let it out softly, I didn't see a lot of marketing for it and hence it never sold. The biggest reason Ford missed the gun so many years was that the old director of the SVT program refused to make SVT cars with 4-doors. Hence the Lightning Focus 2-door hatch, and Mustang were the only ones that got treatment. This is prior to the Contour SVT which was a sleeper witht he 2.4L DOHC V6. I think that SVT should really start working on cars to compete with SRT and the likes. I mean sure it's not a high dollar item in terms of sales, but it would boost market appeal big time. The same I think Toyota should do with their TRD, make a TRD model of most all their cars and add some sport to them. Heck if they had the Matrix with a base XR, XRS, then added a TRD model with a S/C, the M-Theory spoiler, 18's and some suspension/brake work. Would have been suhweet!

The '94 gt was the first mustang I raced after the s/c install. Then I looked up the stats for it and it turned out to be one of the slowest model years. But hey, it was a mustang gt and I won 3 out of 4 (by a half car). Saw it was for sale a week or two after that?

yeah that 5.0L only had 215 hp, dunno about torq...but when I drove it that thing could freaking move so there had to of been some mods...although I havent been in a SC vibe yet....
