cf hoods

looking at getting a cf hood but most says that you need hood pins i would like to get the VIS racing/sport hood but on the web site it says i need them i don't want to put them on my car i drive on the highway every day at 120km will the hood break at the hood latch? all the feed back would be great thanks

It is advised that you get them, but I have made numerous trips from CA to TX as well as everyday driving and haven't had pins, but it is a risk many take and some regret!

If it NEEDS pins it aint worth getting. Or it wasn't installed correctly. A buddy of mine had his fiberglass hood (WITH pins!) fly up and smash his windshield. But it's ok, it was a neon.
