I've always read the dishwashing soap (ie. Dawn) in a spray bottle works best... that's what I am going to use when I put mine on. I've been procrastinating for weeks now, but I've been busy too.

What did you use to get all the water out after you had it in place? Credit card with a cloth? Did you have to use a hairdryer or heatgun at all to get rid of small air bubbles? Sorry for all the ?'s, I just want to get this right the first time.

Andy (bluebat) is pretty reputable. i got my overlays for the Si.The soap and spray bottle is a dream. i would look into a squeegie (sp) type object. i used a bondo applicator, but the plastic CAN scratch the film. and those bubbles are almost inevitable... Take your time and work center or edge out.... center out worked best for me.

yeah i used a credit card to squeegee but the water and soap just evap out after a day or two. if there are tiny bubbles, i just poked them with a pin. but the big ones i squeegeed out.

they were hard to shape around the lights as there are compound curves and you always get those dam finger type bubbles in there, I did try some heat but for me that made it even worse, I ended up just working it with my fingers and eventually got it though, how about you Scherry ???

Red Outs are probably the best visual mod for a Vibe if your looking for something inexpensive and stylish. I am not a fan of the amber lens, good job!

Heating them up with a hair dryer will make it easier to shape around the curves, just take your time and it'll form around them. Makes the tails look 100x better!

they are tricky with the compound curves. but I took my time and used lots of soapy water and a squeege from work to get air bubbles out

"hi, my name is Diane, and I am a redout failure..."I finally got around to attempting to install them this weekend, and all I can say is while you guys got great results, bless you for having the patience of saints.I futzed around with them for almost 40 minutes before I gave up and said "way beyond my skill set"This is no offense to the awesomeness they are, the product was in great shape and priced right, I just couldn't get them to flex enough over the compound curves at all. (and it was almost 80 out, and I was in the sun too!)It's clearly installer error not producer error :-)Diane
