FELLOW VIBERS HELP. CAT URINE SMELL IN THE CAR

Post by BIGGMIKE88 »

We recently purchased a 2006 Vibe. I mean like just mailed the second payment recent. Anyway we had to rush our sick cat to the vet the other morning so the wife grabs an old blanket and snatched the cat up we got all the way there and as we are getting out a get a blast of this odor like tuna water and there is a little puddle and even some on the seat belt so we get her in and I borrow a towel and some of there cleaner. Now the car smells like urine and cleaner. I have tried the carpet cleaners and odor removers, even baking soda but so far no luck. I NEED YOUR HELP.Thanks Mike

I think most pet stores sell a bottle of solution called "urine ridder"or something to that effect. It's a spray that is suppose to counter the smell.I've tried a similar product because my dog used to throw up every time he got into the car and it worked well.

first... is the cat OK?second i won't point fingers and say.... you should always carry your cat in a carrier, same thing happens to our cat every time we take her to the vet... she hates car rides... we use with good success natures miracle and spot shot or you can try mistermaxhttp://www.wd40.com/Brands/spot_shot.htmlhttp: ... al...&Ne=2

last year, one of the many stray cats in my neighborhood decided to crawl through my moonroof n (removed) on the backseat. i found out that the best thing to get rid of the smell is:1. an enzyme cleaner, or somethin that was designed for cats, like what was posted above.2a(for my situation). keep all windows closed at all damn times2b. if the feline does that every time you take it somewhere, leave it at home. if it's sick, it'll get better on it's own. if not, just go to an animal shelter and trade it in for a replacement. there are plenty of em there. every age, size, and color. the choices are almost endless

When my window regular in my grand am broke & my window fell, cats had a field day inside. I just used blue corel carpet scrub, vacuum & citrus spray

(Holy bump, batman!) I was going to give bigmike88 some suggestions on where to obtain this stuff locally since he's not far from me. But I realized that was in Feb. lol!The enzyme stuff works great! Cleaned up the cat pee real nice in the new apt. from the previous owner... At least they were kind enough to let it take a leak all over the utility room and not everywhere else. I've tried the Simple Solutions brand, worked great. Their solution for carpet cleaning machines is good stuff too. Also found this "PEE-PEE" stuff at Big Lots for $4 for a huge bottle, works good too.I force my dog to ride in a crate whether he wants to or not... The times I didn't weren't cool. Especially the time he unloaded a truck in the driver's seat while I went into the gas station for a sec...
