Has anyone tried these?http://www.shopatron.com/produ...353.0I just put them in and will post pics later tonight...I checked on a warranty since I was originally going to get Super Plasma Glow bulbs, which have a 10 year warranty. These PIAA's were a little pricier ($75) at my Pontiac Dealer, BUT, they have a LIFETIME warranty!Thoughts?

I replaced the backup lights on the Vibe and my truck with PIAA's and frankly I was dissappointed. They're no brighter than stock but the blue bulb does look cool behind the clear backup lens.
PIAA is a bit overrated, and where are you going to get them warenteed? and while you are, how long are you going to drive without a headlight... They look good though, kinda hard to tell a difference between the SilverStar and the PIAA as one is in the dark and one is at dusk...Reinstall a Silverstar and do a sid by side in the dark aginst something, white if possible... reguardless, i'm glad your happy
PIAA is a good bulb but beyond overpriced for what you get. For $75 for a pair of halogens. Heck for another $25-50 you could have gotten an HID kit that would have lasted longer and been way brighter. Although I do not advocate HIDs in cars that were not meant for them unless a Audi, Acura, etc. projector conversion is done with proper aiming.Silverstars are also junk IMO. I have been through so many sets of those with my civic i gave up. They are rated to last 300 hours. If you do any normal amount of night driving they blow very quickly. Not to mention the glass is colored which filters certain light spectrums to get a colored tint to them. So while not deep blue, they still have a hue to them which ultimately reduces light output. The problem with bulb manufacturers (some that is) is that they rate output by Kelvin which is simply color temperature and not light output. Lumens is the rating to use. Like a an OEM low beam is about 700-900 Lumens, the Silverstar is about 1,000, and my HIR low beam is 1700 or thereabouts. But they are only offered in 9005 and 9006 configurations. If you really wanna get techincal, green is actually the most visible color to the human eye. So why not have very bright green headlights? Not like it matters, in 10-15 years every car will have a night vision option like the Cadillac did.
Or you could just do what my freiend did and put night vision in your car. That way you dont even have to use headlights. It is pretty cool riding in his car when he turns it on.
Sorry no night pics or any against a wall. My camera is tricky with lights at night. These are at dusk...the pass. side (left when facing) is the Sylvania Silverstar 9003 and the driver's side is the PIAA Super Plasma GT-X H4:

PIAA's are one of the best H bulbs out there. Definitely NOT over rated. BUT, they do have a flaw....money vs lasting. I ran them in the Vibe for a couple years, but replacing them every 4 or so months got expensive. They run about $75 for a pair. Silverstars are almost as bright, but way brighter than stock bulbs and the high beams are the brightest you'll ever see. They are about half the price and last a little longer. I've had my current set in the vibe for over 8 months now. I also have the DRL on a switch, so they dont burn during the day. I do most of my driving at night, since I work the graveyard shift. Now since I have the DRL switch in, I may switch back to PIAA's.

Personally, I love Silver Stars. I had them in both my Sunfires and never had a single problem with them and they have always lasted a long time. I have them in my '09 GT's fog lights (9145), low beams (9006) and high beams (9005) and they are very bright white. I definitely don't have a problem seeing at night. Also, I got them all on eBay for a total of about $40.00 so they can be had for very cheap if you shop around. On a side note, I have disabled the auto headlights/DRLs and I made the fog lights independent so they stay on with the high beams.Pictures can be found on my Car Domain page. Not the greatest, but you get the idea.
