This is officially a (removed) were they thinking?

Post by Atomic »

It may have been good intentions, but way, way off the mark. Here's the link:http://www.cnn.com/2007/EDUCAT...oriesor: "http://www.cnn.com/2007/EDUCATION/05/13 ... stories"ps I have NO idea why my posts always do that to the link address.

I understand thier thinking, But.... really.... it was STUPID!!!!!. I mean, they wanted to show that they need to come up with plans, and prepare the kids, and all that, but it was still stupid to make it SO real. Maybe a warning or soemthing, letting them know. That is like telling some guys in the army that there is a shooter on post, and to stay in doors. Someone is bound to get hurt, and something bad is bound to happen. But it's 10X's worse to scare some kids half to death.

Quote, originally posted by Mavrik »we're to soft on kids these days.AHHHHH no... kids today have to grow up in circumstances and situations that previous generations never had to face, they are forced to conform to images of 'perfection' that are all around them, they are abused, killed and taken advantage of by those who should be protecting them. Too 'soft' on kids? Nah, not by a long shot.

now if they told them that they would do a mock gun attack on the school, but didnt tell them when it would happen would of been better.
