CAI question

So I am looking into a CAI because bowling season is almost over and i get my pay out.http://www.cosmoracing.com/pro...d=409so i was planing on buying a new cosmo racing one unless someone else is selling one.I wanted to buy the AEM Air Bypass Valve but how do you attach it to the intakehttp://www.ptuning.com/html/It...20Fitany input would be great

Here is a pic of 02csnow's bypass valve,It gives you an Idea.Cosmo is good,I have one.Just remember when you install an intake on the vibe,it's a tight fit.

Am i correct in saying that you have to cut the CAI to put the valve in??

I got my TRD cai used from someone on matrixowners for $110 after shipping, go look at injen, cosmo or TRD and you wont be dissapointed.

Well i was going to post the pic of my CAI with bypass, but Kevin already got to it (thank you Kev). Yes u do have to cut it. they give you a template when you get the bypass. it is very simple.

what exactly does the bypass do for you?

If you filter that is down in the wheel well ever sucks up water the bypass takes over so u do not bring any water into the manifold and then to the engine. Prettty much it is a saftey filter so u dont get hydrolock.
