I think its power steering? or oil. but its yellow almost like neon yellow not a whole lot of it but some drops here and there under the car. So Im not sure if its the snow melting in the engine and taking oil with it to make the drops or the car is leaking. Any ideas?

the power steering looks yellow if thats the container i was looking at. Otherwise maybe its the excess oil on the engine and undercarriage that when the snow melts it takes it with it? idk hopefully i dont break down in this blizzard weather
power steering fluid is clear, coolant(from the factory) is pink, oil is brown, tranny is red. I don't think you could get yellow from any of them. Try parking in a different spot tonight and check again in the morning. it may not be from your car.
Hey, my wifes Vue did the same thing just the other night. I couldn't figure it out either. But you know it's harder to 'hold it' when it's colder! I think it just took a leak! Maybe a rabbit or other critter was camping under it? That's my best guess.

Heya,I would think even oil in white snow might come across looking yellow once it really soaks into the snow. I would guess you got some spray from the wheels or another car that got up under the car and dripped making it look like something from the car itself.nygiantzz1 has a good idea. That's what I do every time I worry about a leak or something. I have an open-to-the-elements garage but sometimes I lay down cardboard under the engine/transmission area to see if something is leaking.Dave
its not from an aminal, i moved the car to shovel my parking spot and thats when i saw it so i quickly looked again under my car when it was 10 feet back from my parking spot and when i was watching it a chunk of snow fell off that was the yellow. theres a bunch of snow under my engine and on my tranny (its lowered) so I think that its from oil thats just been on the outside of car parts like the oil pan and plug from changing oil that the snow grabbed and melted off after the car heated up. ill keep checking though.... but the bright yellow...it was weird..sorta like red bull.
I had the same thing 2 days ago when the snow was about a foot high.I smelled it,and it didn't smell like anything, then I had an urge to taste it but my wife yelled at me.I thought it was gas at first but just left it,as Lancer said, the car just took a leak.

Weird. I just found some bright green spots in the snow this morning under my car. The funny part is that it wasn't really close to the engine. It was more back by the front doors. And my car pretty much hadn't moved in a day and a half.
