I believe I used the horn fuse when I wired in my mirror. I will check later and see what ampearage it's rated for and post the info for you. You could also tap one of the headlight wires and run a 15amp fuse inline as well.
I used the left headlight fuse when I installed the mirror, it is a 15 amp ignition switched source. I used 18ga. wire, stripped back about an 1-1/2" and wrapped it around 1 leg of the fuse. The cover for the fuse panel does not pinch the wire when installed. That should work fine for you. There is a good (existing) ground point close by on the driver side strut tower.

It doesn't matter what the DRL circuit draws, the fuse is between the 12V source and the DRL circuit to protect it and the headlights. Your only concern is the current draw on what you are installing. If the accessory installed needs a lot of power, it may cause the headlight to dim or even pop the fuse. In my case, the mirror draws about 0.5 amps, nothing really. What are you wiring in?
It is a DRL system that turns the blinkers into DRLs. So, when headlights are on the new circate will draw nothing. Thanks. I tested it with my multi tester and it will work great. That what I love about this site. Many good people with good help.
