when I took home a vibe the other day..i also had a rattling sound in the back...wasnt sure what it was..could be a seat belt hitting the side..or..something in a back compartment or something..or maybe where the spare is
Yeah, have someone sit in the back seat to see if it's coming from there or further back. I noticed my passenger seatbelt buckle sometimes rattles against the door pillar if the belt is twisted a little. Also, in back, could be the tiedown parts in the area of the spare tire, as WaveBlue mentioned. There may be the tiedown straps or maybe the metal slide tiedown pieces in plastic back there. Also, if anything hard plastic is in the 2 rear side compartments, that tends to rattle as well. I put microfiber rags in mine. Lastly, and this was my biggest problem when I first got a license plate surround in the back, it would rattle like crazy when going over the smallest of bumps. I ended up having to tie the plate surround down with wire with rubber bumpers between the surround and the plate. If you have the metal plates, it could very well be that whether you have a license plate surround or not. Make sure there are the rubber bumpers behind the plate as well.Dave
Neverminde. Rite after I posted this I jetted to Walmart and as I was driving down the freeway I herd pop and bang. I finally found what the ratteling was. It was the top center nut that hold's the shock to spring plate. So I need to see if anyone in the Dago area can help me out to put it back on. Need a spring compressor to do the job. Your help will be greatly be appreciated..... nuvibe

I looked everywhere, tried pounding on the panels, but it's still there when my bass hits.
