Weekend tune-up and such...

Post by savedbyzero »

So at about 9 pm Saturday, I thought it necessary to tear into the Vibe. -Changed the plugs. Went with NGK iridiums.-Oil change. Mobile 1. After seeing my head during rebuild, Amsoil is off my list...-MAF cleaned.-TB coolant bypass mod.-AEM filter recharge. She runs amazing now! No bogs or loss in power during acceleration. She pulls hard all the way up to 8300! 1-2 shifts in lift...no sweat! So ya, at 12...done.

I also switched to Mobil1 trans fluid...What did you see from the Amsoil? Some people are diehard Amsoil users...I will stick with Mobil1, my V8 was designed to use it and I want to be safe.

I changed it regularly. The head was all glazed and gummed up. Looked like the oil hadn't been changed ever...I was a die-hard amsoil fan but after that and a blown motor (could've been completely unrelated), no thanks.
