Your opinion needed! And Quick.

Hi,I have a 06 Vibe with the monotone appearence package. I was thinking about getting the Sport appearence package in Abyss. (black)Ive decided to go black and Salsa with everything else (blacking out emblems, and chrome, black grill, dark tint.)What is everyones opinion. With the contrast look good or bad.

I think it would look O.K. I was thinking about painting my lower cladding black on my 2 tone.

If it were a flat or non-metallic sort of black, I'd probably say no, but the Abyss being metallic, that may not look too bad!I always wanted to see one with the lower cladding silver, I thought that would look really great with Neptune, Salsa, and Abyss.

Hiya 06salsa.I'd say give it a try. Blacking out everything else would look cool anyway. If, for some reason, you're not happy with it, you can always carefully remove the parts and sell them here or have em painted to match. It might be like throwing some money out the window but if you really want it, it may be worth it.Someone should be able to photo shop that for you here as well... so you get a good look at it before you buy it.Dave

I tink it would look amazing. As long as all of the cladding is painted black not just the front, side and rear extensions, I'm asuming you meant to paint all of the cladding black!DO IT!

Hey,Actually I meant leaving the rest of the factory cladding Salsa, and just adding the Sport Ap. package in Abyss. I thought maybe the dark color around the bottom would visually lower the car if you know what I mean.

It would be different. I plan on getting my two-tone cladding painted black as well.I think just getting the cladding painted would set it off. but for you the cost would be better if you just order the abyss package and slapped it on Which kit are you considering? The 05+ or the 03-04? I could be getting confused with kits tho... there is a 03-04 with "fangs" and a 05+ kit that i've yet to see (both from pontiac)and 05+ kit from rksport w/a front lip, sides, and replacement rear bumper. Right?

Hate to be the one to say NO but I had a base abyss Vibe that got scratched by a kids bike and it cost their insurance co. $750 and 5 days of rental to repair. Abyss is a metalic paint and not easy to match if it ever gets damaged. I like the idea of a dark lower cladding, I would suggest something that is durable and easy to touch up. Good luck whatever you decide.

I believe it is the one with the fangs. The pontiac catalog has the same part # for 2003,04,05,06. So I suppose its the same kit. If not would someone let me know for sure. I would hate to waste 600.00 bucks. The kits a steal if it will work.
