Hello Everyone!

Post by chyv1083 »

For a while I have been looking at the vibe mainly because i want to modd it up. Its something Ive always wanted to do since modeling cars in 3D. My only problem is, I don't know if i want to do a trade in because i went to jd power and associates.com and it kinda ruined my thoughts towards the vibe given thier low ratings as far as its mechanical work ect. From the ratings on edmunds everyone seems to love thiers so thats kinda keeping me in the neutral state.Im not bringing the vibe down but i need advice from people who have the car. I have an 04 Kia Spectra GS Hatchback and I love that car but its time for something new that I can have some fun with. I really need some advice guys cause now im not sure if I should trade it. If I do I plan to keep it since im gonna mod it up. Also, I was wondering, I have only seen one bodykit for the vibe are there any others? What should I expect to pay to have it installed? Thanks

first of all welcome...Second I love the vibe. all cars have their ups and downs... but these cars get great gas mileage and have a sporty look to them. they are very fun to drive.Yeah we only have one body kit so far. but GM also has their sports package which has different fascias and side rockers. If your looking for a fun modifiable car with good gas milage you are looking at a good pick.Of course this is only my opinion!

Thanks Welcome!I can tell you that the Vibe should be much more reliabale than a Kia, given it's Toyota heart Anyway, I love my GT, and still enjoy modding it!

I love my kia but really guys I think im going to get a vibe. Yes. yes I think im convinced. Dang. anyways yea I was going to try the base and then work my way up type thing and that gets a little more gas mileage. Ive driven a stick before but its been a while since so I think i shoud get an automatic...bla bla bla. I notice on the pontiac website they dont have the orange color listed as an option? whats the deal with that? anyways I agree that the cars have thier ups and downs and that perhaps you dont know untill you try something though. So like I said everyone seems very happy with thiers so I think im gonna try it by the end of this year (when they get all deals and incentives goin on because of the years end ) Well thank you guys for your advice and telling me your experiences with the car.

Yeah if you get a base get a stick... few more miles to the gallon and there fun.GT's dont get the greatest because they have more horsies but are still a blast from what others say.Well good luck on your vibe search and if you have any other questions on anything before you get it... ask away. one of us will have an answer or can find it!!! And your a caliviber too so we can have another one to the group!

Im not sure if it is wise to get a stick because its been so long since ive driven one (and the fact that im sort of afraid to drive one). I think I would have to get some lessons or something but anyways im located in Los Angeles and you know how traffic is there ugh:( so im not sure if a stick is the best thing. I was thinking about it but yea we'll see thanks for all of your advice.

We have a kia spectra gsx as our second car (my wife drives it to work) We use the vibe for EVERYTHING else, it gets great mpg last year we got over 37 mpg on a trip to oregon. I can lay down the back seat and make a trip to home depot ! And when I want to horse around its got a peppy little engine. All in all its a great car ps welcome

Thanks for the Hospitality!Yea I sort of got into my whole car deal without knowing what to expect and ended up overpaying for something that has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN IT. Now I want to make my own investment with what I want out of a car (options, mods, kits yadda yadda). Out of curiosity, I noticed that there was an orange vibe and checked for it on pontiac.com but i didnt see that color. Is it a limited edition? or whats the deal with it?

supposedly they dont make that color anymore... i think it stopped after 05... note 100% sure... but if you got a used vibe your chances of that color are better!Others may know if its still available
