I got to the tournament before my coach who was suppose to bring my equipment. Well he forgot it! Had to borrow someone else’s foil. Fenced first round lost four matches and won one. Second round I ended up fencing the guy who I borrowed the foil from and almost beat him with it. Needless to say, he was pretty embarrassed after the match, asked for his foil back ( because I was out of the tournament) and said, “Well, that’s the last time I do that!” It was awesome. My coach was jumping up and down on the sideline screaming, “Oh, my God!
