I have a DEI model that uses four sensors and a speaker that 'beeps' according to how far away you are. There are also some models that have a nice little range display..Tips: Drilling into the back bumper (the gray cladding) is easy. It's also easy to scratch. Make sure you get good measurements and have them equally apart, or at least level, because you'll see how badly they aren't lined up once you put them in. Do NOT run the wiring over the heat shield for the exhaust to get to the rubber gromit under the spare tire. There's a gromit to the left side (driver side) under/behind where the reverse light is that comes up in the driver side of the trunk. It's a little harder to grab the wiring, but you won't melt the wires with the exhaust (experience here.)I put the interface box under the rear driver seat, and pulled power off the reverse sense wire going into the nav system. There are other places to find the reverse light wire, the simplest being at the light, but it's a pain to get to. I would suggest seeing if the reverse light wire shows up anywhere else before attempting that. They do work great! I have to admit. I've been a little more cautious lately, so I haven't 'set them off' because I haven't gotten within 5 ft of a vehicle behind me..but they are extremely accurate.

Victor: let me know when you get them. I won't mind seeing how easy it is...and would most likely get someone to install it since I wouldn't want to drill in my fascia. E-bay has them. Do a search for back up sensors on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...sting

04blkvibe: I am still searching hoping to get a stick on type. I don't really want to drill holes. I remember found one type with wireless connection from LCD to main unit, but can't find it anymore.

You're gonna have to drill holes, unless you get one of the cheaper ones that has two of the stick-on sensors.. and even then, you'll have wires running across your bumper. Unless you can get creative mounting them..Once they're installed, they look absolutely stock. If I ever remember, i'll take some pictures..

Jahntassa: got any pictures of your sensors? How easy is it to drill into your bumper? Got any tips on how to make sure the 2 are centered?

Jahntassa: If possible, can you give us some instructions? I am still afraid to drill holes on my bumper. The other day, I hit the wall while backing, cause the parking space is toooo narrwo, and I think I definitely will go with one.

Don't forget the processing unit located between the ears!I want to have a front and rear bumper with pressure switches behind them that will trigger a missile launch from under my Vibe at any vehicle that is being operated by a driver who lacks either A.) proper depth perception or B.) enough common sense to be able to park in front of or behind my car without banging into it (especially repeatedly).
