rear defroster switch

ok i have remote start it would be nice if the rear windhield defroster switch would stay on when i turned my car off so when i turned my car on in the morn it would defrost the rear window. Any ideas.

Mine is kinda messed up, so I can push it a certain way and it stays pressed down, so it'll automatically go on the next morning.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

i was thinking about just tapeing it down but didnt like the astetics of that

Ok, I'm looking at the schematics, and I think you want to trigger the solid black wire on the defogger switch harness...Hook your second output or auxilary trigger to that wire, let me know if it works or not.

lol! Mine's kinda screwed too... After hitting the button, sometimes it doesn't pop back up. Here's one way to keep it held down for zero cost and no wiring modifications! lolJust fold up a piece of stiff paper, push down the button, and stick it in there.

My switch sticks too, if I push it gently. On my remote starter I have the black wire hooked up on a "ground when running" basis, so the rear defrost comes on when ever I remote start the vehicle. No ugly paper sticking out of the button.

add my car to the list of stickies.lol sometimes its great but still dont like the idea of it staying on...makes me think of all the ford recalls due to fire.
