I am finally a proud owner of a Frosty Monotone Vibe Base, Auto, Moon & Tunes, Power Package, 16" Aluminum Wheels, 6-disk CD changer.Had to drive an hour away to find one.... but it was worth it! Picked one out of dealer stock (they had 19 Vibe's on the lot!!). I normally don't like white cars, but this Vibe looks sharp all white.I will post some pics when it is light outside this weekend. This isn't mine, but it's exactly like this.. -> http://nicksimkins.com/vibe/vibe_frosty6.jpg

Congrats, real happy for you.The vibe is the first vehicle in a long time that I cant wait to get into.I have had mine for a week and that grin will just not leave me.
I drove it all the way back from the dealer to my house... test drives don't do the Vibe justice! You need a nice drive to appreciate the features, handling, and stability of the Vibe. This thing is solid... well compared to my Cavalier anything may be!Got a ton of looks from people passing me on the freeway... was a very cool feeling.
Congratulations!!! The Vibes look very sharp in white! Your darn right these things handle great. They're something else. Again, congrats. This is a big moment!
Yes it is... *sniff* *sniff* (kidding ).I'm just glad I took the initiative to travel a little before I bought a Vibe with less options in my area.Dealer plug: Jay Pontiac-Buick (Zip: 44146 for GMBUYPOWER users) - Bedford, OH. They had a great no-hassle staff... many of the other Pontiac dealers around here were very pushy.. called my salesman today, gave him my info... 2 hrs later he called to see when I could sign and pick the Vibe up. Received the $500 GM Rebate.Received the $400 College Graduate Rebate.Received the 4.9% APR GMAC rate.Put $3100 down on the vehicle.. stickered at $20,000 even (didn't pay that however )

Congradulations! Best of luck with it! Don't you just love the way the car smells? It smells so powerful and comforting! I love the way the seat hugs your back. I must admit, I havent gone over 60 mph yet, I'm babying it. I just parked mine, 194 miles and 71 degrees!
Yes, the new car smell is intoxicating! The seats are very comfortable... and the back seats are unusually roomy for the size of the vehicle.I bought my vehicle with about 160 miles on the odometer. It has about 290 now from the drive home from the dealer. I will be babying the car for at least 2000 miles... not that I won't after that however.

Most of the pics were taken by myself (or from the web) on the dealer lot and/or were just delivered to the dealership.I am assuming they just didn't get around to prepping the vehicle to show at that time.

quote:Congrats! Don't want to bust too much of your bubble.... but did you test drive a Vibe? How did you drive it during the test drive!? It's good to baby the car in the first few hundreds or thousands of miles but also don't forget that you bought a model that was test driven by people wanting to see what the car was worth...When I test drove one, I really pushed it....revving it high, hard braking, fast acceleration..... wanted to see if I would enjoy driving it... That's one of the reason why this Vibe and my previous car have been directly factory ordered!Yep, I test drove the Vibe. I drove it normally... did not push the vehicle to any limits... my salesman would not let me. I am assuming they at least look out for their new vehicles (well at this dealership), but I could be wrong.Either way, no problems to report. Thanks for your concern though!

LOL... well at least you had fun. Now I know to look out for other new cars and who may have already driven them. heheNext time I get a new car.. I may have to make sure it has less than 15 miles on it.. reduce the chance it was driven hard by someone else. Nothing I could do about this one. I had to have it when I saw it.

Congratulations on the new car!! You're gonna love it. Great job on getting the monotone paint, too. That's awesome.Whoever said a simple test drive doesn't do it justice was right. I've come to like the car a whole lot more since owning it. It was great on the test, but it's seemed even more smooth and nimble the more I got to know it.When I got my Vibe it had 7 miles...it's got around 200 now but 2/3rds of them got there coming back from the dealer on the freeway. I had to go faaarrrr away to avoid getting screwed, but it was worth it.Congrats again!
You all seem to be worried about someone driving the car very hard before you bought it. Don't worry about it. If you knew what they do to them after making them at the factory you'd grit your teeth.Once the car is made before it's driven it's started and floored wide open for about a full minute. Then test driven as hard as the vehicle will go for about a mile or 2 at the factory.Reason they do this is to make sure nothing is going to break when the buyer finally get the car. If something is going to break most times it will do it at the factory during this time and can be fixed before leaving the factory.

I have heard before that they run the engine full throttle for testing purposes... I wasn't sure if that was still done to this day or not. Thanks for the info!

Hi,When I got mine it had 13 miles on it. I did notice that the one I came home with was the one sitting in the showroom. It had been in the showroom for about 3 months before I took it home. I am hoping that it wasn't test driven too much. Talk about feeling stupid, when I got the car home I thought that cargo cover for the back was actually a sunshield for the windshield! When I brought the car back to the dealer for some new interior bulbs, he informed me of my assinine error. As I left I caught him shaking hs head and muttering "women!" under his breath! Too funny!

That's too funny Lori! I actually knew alot more about the Vibe than the salesman did... and he did admit that. I guess that with all the reading of specs and options you get to know the car inside and out without even owning it.
quote:Nice. As an off topic question... I was looking at your collection of Vibe photos and noticed in several of them there is no anntena. Do you know why? The antennas are usually installed when the car is ready to be sold.... Usually these antennas (correct me if I am wrong) only screw into the receptacle.... so it's a way to avoid getting them damage in transport or being stolen at the dealer's lot!Ah! OKay this I did not know.

i know that when i got my satellite GT i would use any excuse to drive it, i really tried babying it but i had to see what the VVTL-i was really all about, plus i have seen what they do to cars at the assembly plants and newer engines dont really need a soft break in time anymore. you have to get on it a little when you first get it so you know that the power will be there when you want it to beyog

My 2001 Cavalier Z-24, when purchased last year, was just off the truck with no prep-work done on the vehicle, until I bought it. I think the car had about 3 or 4 miles on the odometer! That's new new new car. FYI, I will be selling that car soon anyways now that I have my Vibe. It will be missed.... a little.
