I just started hearing a loud rattling in my passenger side window when I go over bumps (2 days ago). My car only has 850 miles on it. I am taking my car into service tomorrow for an alignment issue and will have this looked at. Anyone have any experience with this type of issue before? How good is Pontiac Service at solving these types of issues. This is my first time dealing with Pontiac Service on a warranty issue. I assume rattling like this would be covered under the warranty? Any advice / warnings for me? I'll keep you all posted on what happens. Thanks,

I had something like this in my driver side door when the stereo was on loud. It turned out being a loose bolt on the inside of the door that held two panels together. Wasn't a big deal at all. They should be able to fix it for you.
I've got the same thing in both of my front windows and an occasional Creak from the moonroof shade. How long did it take them to fix it? 20-30 mins or 1-2 hours? With my schedule it is almost impossible to get to the dealer and I cannot be without a car.

If so, it could be the bolts that hold the window to the regulator. Both of my windows came loose because of that. If you know how to take off the trim panels, its an easy fix. As for the moonroof, I had a rattle coming from that also. It turned out to be a loose bolt that attaches the moonroof assembly to the roof.
Yeah, the window is down about 1-2 inches. Do you know how the door panel is attached (besides the obvious screws)? I was planning on doing it myself, but was afraid of scatching the heck out of the panel.

I just dropped it off at the dealership on my way to work and picked it up at the end of the day. Diagnosing the problem is probably what takes the longest time. Once you get it narrowed down to where it is probably not tough to fix.

I was planning on doing it myself, but was afraid of scatching the heck out of the panel. After you take the two screws out, just start at the bottom of the panel and pull. Its just held on by plastic retainers. At the top of the panel it hooks over the door, so just pull it up after you have undone all the retainers.
Cool. Thanks Devlop. We took apart the door on my uncles 2004 2500 Duarmax pickup and it was a nightmare. 4 screws, 3 clips, and 2 slotted/notched plastic things. Took us almost 40 mins to get it off and about an hour to put it back.

So I got my car back from the dealer yesterday. The window rattling was due to loose screws on the regulator. Not sure how long it actually took them to diagnose because I dropped it off the night before. They called me at 11am to say the problem was fixed. They also fixed the issue with the steering wheel being slightly turned to the right while driving straight. Said the "toe" was off a little. I didn't know cars had toes. Wonder if it was the pinky toe or the big toe Seriously, if anyone knows what the "toe" is and how it could be "off" I would appreciate the education. So now all is well mechanically with my Vibe. I have started to notice, very sporadically, the sulfur smell from the AC. When I do its only for a second and goes away. If thats the worst of it then it is not a big problem. Any experiences out there? Does it start small and get worse? Thanks,Mike

Toe is the right to left angle of the front tires. Think of how people walk. Most people walk with their toes pointed out and then some people, like me, are what they call pigeon toed and walk with their toes pointed towards eachother.

Hey folks I thought that I had a rattel on the passenger side near the front door when in actual fact it was the split loom tubing wire comming from under the front passenger seat rattling against my stock amp. once I move the front passenger seat back as far as possible, you can visibly see that the tube doesn't touch and there is no rattle present when going over bumps. Since I now know the cause I am not so bothered by it but when I get a chance I will zip tie some foam tubing over it to rattle proof it.I hope this helpsSpyder
