Replacement Side Moldings

Post by johnnydanger »

Hi Everyone. Im new to this forum and im glad I found it. I have a 2004 Vibe and I have quiet a bit of dings on the side moldings. I have the unfortunate circumstance of living at an aparptment complex where no one cares about anyone else property, that includes cars. I want to see about getting the side moldings, but I cant seem to find where to buy them. I looked at the Ultimate Pontiac Parts List post, but appearently im looking at the wrong section or something, cause I cant find them. I have a blue vibe. Can anyone help me out with a link. Also, is this something I would be able to do one my own, or would I need to have it professionally done? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I too am interested in replacing one section of my car. I accidently 'kissed' a Highlander a few months ago. Trivial discolored scrape on my molding; ~$600 damage on the Highlander (no dents)! 'preciate it if someone could give us a clue how we can easily replace w/o having the dealer do it.

Mine will be for sale next week. Taking them off and filling the holes for the clean look, so don't need them. Mine are silver and off an 05 if that matters the car is new and doesn't have 500 miles on it and has not been into a parking lot yet.

Side moldings should be cheap and easily replaceable by the car owner! If they're not, then other than appearance, they're not really adding anything to your car, since it might as well be the ding in the door panel itself rather than the molding.

Yeah the mid molding I would like to replace on my driver' side thanks entirely to the stupid @$$ inconsiderate air heads at my high school The paint was like gouged off the molding fabout .5 inches long. If I saw who did it I would have killed them.

They're about $75 each...don't waste your money, they'll keep getting runied. That's their purpose...
