Cleaning Valve Cover?

Post by BlueCrush »

What is available to use to clean the grease and grime off the valve cover. Since I am not using the engine cover anymore, I'd like to make it look halfway decent. Thanks!!

Some very fine steelwool would work well too.

You're welcome Brian .Quote, originally posted by keithvibe »Some very fine steelwool would work well too.Yes, I would use 000 steel wool with the aluminum polish. Guys on The J-Body Organization website use this method to polish their valve covers. It's time consuming if you want a nice chrome-like shine, but it works very well and is darn near impossible to screw up.
