Addition to the Vibe

Post by KingKrab65 »

I bought some flaps from eBay. Primered, painted, and clear coated them (actually scotch brite scrubbed and cleaned with isopropyl alcohol first). Let them set up for a week and put them on Saturday. I used the 13U paint, which I thought was a little light. What do you think?

For what its worth, you can edit your posts, including the attachments. After you've posted, (and, obviously are logged on) you will see four buttons along the top right of your post. the left one that I guess is supposed to look like a pencil is the edit button

If someone has replied to your post, when you edit it, you get a line that says something like edited X times, and the last time it was edited. If nobody has replied to your post when you edit it, then you don't get the edited post footnote

I am a careless typist, and make frequent use of the edit button here

Looks nice. I've always liked bodycolor splash guards.

Nice job. Good thing you won't have to deal with ice/snow regularly over the winter (occasionally you just might) or it would destroy your nice finish and possibly break them too.

I agree. This thought crossed my mind, but PA would trash those in a heartbeat. They do look great though.

I did not know that you could edit after the post was submitted. I successfully deleted the second picture without messing things up. Thanks for the lesson.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words. I don't know how long the paint will last. I did four coats of paint and of clear coat but Carolina roads are just this side of Third World (especially in SC). We get our share of ice here. It is just black ice and it can be rather exciting early in the morning on the way to work.

Thanks again!
