body clips

Post by ZZvroom »

93 GT

My Vibe was assaulted by a bush! It snuck up behind us.

I'm looking for a parts manual showing the bumperskin aeaa at the wraparound.

I need the plastic upper slide that the top lip of the skin slides in, looking roughly like:

____________________________
\________ [ ]______[ ]______ /
.\________________________/

and the push-pins holding the hold the fender liner onto the sheet metal

Are these common with Matrix models?

Any pointers?

Thanks, but I'll still need the piece I described.

What parts manuals exist out in the world?

I believe they're item 16 in this diagram. The site has parts diagrams and numbers you can look up to find on Amazon or Ebay if you want to price-shop.

Actually it looks like #16.

Thank you.

There's what looks like a part # on it; I'll check tomorrow.

Finally got it up on a lift and looked. Things appear differ from the GM part reference cited in the thread.

On the passenger side, there is a metal bracket anchored to a stud emerging from sheet metal that must have run to the bottom bolt joining the fender liner to the bumper skin. But it's not shown on https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/auto-part ... -rear-scat and there's none on the driver's side.

Off topic: there's a center fixture unrelated to the bumper that almost looks like it was to hold a spare tire. But no room for one. Wonder why it's there....

So I need to order the body/bumper parts mentioned above but GM Parts Direct has (to my mind) steep shipping charges for what fits in a padded envelope.

Also, I'm not sure I'm getting what I need.

This is looking up under the bumper. But the missing plastic pins - are they #2, #6, #11, or #19?
