on the bottom of the engine, the black plastic cover.

anyone know the part # or name,etc. of the thumb/push-in little buttons?

Perhaps #2 in the illustration? Need to know whether you are gen 1 or gen 2. I ran a search on my car (gen 2)

I just used black cable ties.

I find that cable ties have a tendency to tear the cover.
