trailer hitch question ==---

Post by jamesmetairie »

05 (base) Vibe.

anyone of you folks know if a vibe or matrix trailer hitch fits a corolla?

many of the web sites are showing only vibe/matrix , but all 3 were usually built in the same plant with the same frame.

The Matrix was actually built in Canada. The Vibe was built alongside the Corolla at NUMMI in California.

Anywho, it should fit all three. I have a hitch up for grabs here in Northwestern, PA if you are in need.

Poking around on Draw-Tite's website, they show the same hitch number fit's all years of Pontiac Vibe and Toyota Matrix, but they show different hitch number for an 05 Corolla.

I've never tried to move a hitch from a vibe to a corolla so I can't personally testify one way or another, but since drawtite shows different hitches, I'd be inclined to say a vibe/matrix hitch would not be an exact fit on a corolla.

I also have a vibe hitch available, but in southern Maryland.
