Place to purchase roof rack parts

Post by Milesb »

I am looking to purchase the square metal piece with a hole in the middle that the bolt screws into to attach the crossarms. Not sure on the name. When I bought a set off a junk vibe I got 7 out of the 8 and used a few zip ties to attach the last one. Anyone have one for sale/know where I can buy one. Not a standard piece at a hardware store.

Also if anyone is interested in a 2008 vibe with around 130k message me.

it's like a locking nut..can't recall the real name though lol. best bet is to take the screw piece to a hardware store and match something up to the threads. it should be the same as the cargo tie downs for the interior.

It's been about 15 years since, and I don't remember all that clearly, but I think that when I grabbed a set of roof rails from a junkyard for a relative's 05, I came up short one of those metal pieces. I seem to remember taking one of the metal pieces from the kit of the cargo area tie downs and grinding it down to fit. But then again, maybe it was a dream

I somehow lost one of the rear endcaps on my 2004 and bought a replacement at the local GM dealer. There weren't any Vibes in the local junk yard at the time. Some dealers have parts lists/schematics on-line that you can search.
