new style?

Post by bassplayaz06 »

so i've been kicking around the idea of replacing the roof rack with black caps, painting the wheels black or getting a new set of wheels, and tinting the windows. kinda blacking out the car. also a black billet grille. can someone do a photoshop of my car to see how it might look? if it doesn't cost too much, dad will pay for it.

DEFINITELY get rid of the roof rack caps...DEFINITELY tint the windows...but I wouldn't go too dark.As for the grille? I think the black billet would look killer. If you get me a dead center pic of the front of your car, i'll photoshop the grille in both billet and blackAnd dude, your wheels are awesome. If you want black....try Plasti-Dip. It's not permanent and is flat black. Just do one and put it back on and see how it looks

I can black out the wheels... but that's about it, as far as my freeware editing software goes. I also have zero clue how I could 'shop the billet grille and especially the roof caps. But I'll give it a go...

i got to thinkin, if i did anything with the wheels, i'd get a shiny black wheel kinda like this and just replace the ones already on there.with the roof rack, i could paint it all black and get the top spoiler, or remove the whole thing and get the caps with the spoiler or no spoiler.

puurty! Good thing you want billet inserts, and keep your GT badges on so we can tell them apart lol. I hope you go for the rack delete and add the top spoiler, that would be awesome!

I tried to talk the wife into a roof rack delete kit, but she wasn't havin' any part of it.As for your Vibe, BP, I like the way it looks now, but also I understand the need to mod.My own opinion is that black wheels are overdone these days. Plus they tend to disappear unless you have them very highlighted from the back by painting the calipers, rotors and dust shield in bright, vibrant () colors. Just my .02.

I agree that if you did black wheels, you;d need to hi-lite them from behind with some bright calipers.

I do agree that they need something behind there to set them off.

Perhaps some gray rims would be best, something that compliments the cladding? Plus they will hide brake dust better than silver or black wheels would.I have graphite colored wheels on my Mazda that I think would do that. Check these out and see what you think. And yes, +3 on the tint as well!! In fact tint is not an option here in Texas... unless you are my wife, of course.

OK, so this has been bugging me. I am on vacation this week and had some play time, so I tried a few things with your existing wheels. Have a look at these and tell me what you think.....First attempt. Fairly quick and east to accomplish.Second attempt. This one would be a little harder to pull off, but to my eye the results would be well worth it.Its not unlike something I tried on my Mazdas factory wheels. From a few years ago...'Course then I got the wheels I have now which are 5 lbs lighter and 1/2" wider and never did it in reality. Also, if you had a picture with a less complicated background, say something like a blue sky, doing the roof rack delete would be much easier and look much better.
