Needed to Tell Someone.

Post by MotoAce51 »

I just wanted to post! My fiance and I finally set a date! We are set to get married on June 4th! Its short notice because she wants to get married before she shows too much and before the baby comes in September! I am excited! Whoohoo!

Congrats! My husband and I are celebrating our 2 years at the end of May Don't obsess too much over the silly details of a wedding- the only important parts are good people and good times (whether that means food, music, dancing, or whatever!)

We are trying to do it simple and low cost. It's not easy but we can sure try. All I care about is sharing the time with close friends and family. It's been in the works but now is as good a time as any! Thanks everyone for the congrats!Oh and our due date is Sept 21, which is my old racing number 921.

Congrats!!! I highly recommend Lamaze class-it WILL prepare and empower you. If I hadn't taken it, I would've been a stressed-out wreck. Do NOT watch "baby birth" shows on cable. That is all just phony hollywood drama bull stuff. Enjoy the ride...it goes by FAST!

We registered at Sears, Target, and Myregistry.com David Johnson & Shana Hair. We really have no idea what to register for so let me know if you have ideas what to add.

My wife and I had our wedding the same way, simple, low cost and right in her parent's yard with a nice flower garden backdrop. It was a perfect setup and exactly what we wanted..all our family and friends together for a wonderful day. Hope you special day goes smooth. JR

Congratulations!!As excited as you are, keep in mind that your life is going to change in ways that you have never imagined!! Marriage, eh! that's the easy part of the changes coming at you full speed ahead. The realities of parenthood are difficult and challenging. You can make it through but you will be well tested!Educate yourself about the realities and LISTEN to older people's advice. We've been there, done that and have gained some wisdom along the way.My daughter just had a baby. I informed her husband that he is about to find out exactly how much he can do on minis-cue quantities of sleep. He politely nodded his head thinking (I'm sure thinking) "stupid old man". Just saw him yesterday and I asked him about sleep and he went on for 20 minutes on how little he is sleeping and how tired he is yet goes to work everyday and takes care of his wife and baby as well and this, and that, and........ (stated humbly) "you were right".Again best of luck to you!Dave

Yeah I am ready to go forth with these changes. I am just not looking forward to the lack of sleep. Or the lack of money... I can't wait to see what comes. We saw the baby sat at our apt. I saw its face, hand, foot, etc. The doc helped us and didnt try to see the gender so its still going to be a suprise for now... We hope it will stay a secret until the delivery.

I don't want to ruin the surprise, but I talked to your doctors office today and they told me it was a girl I applaud you for being able to wait. My wife and I decided that it was going to be a surprise whether we found out at delivery or at the ultrasound, so we opted for the ultrasound. That way you can kind of plan on certain things.
