Down with the Sicknesssssss......

Post by BlueCrush »

Been sick since Sunday. Got it from the wifey who's had it for a week and a half. No time off available yet at the new job. Health insurance doesn't kick in until April 1st. Feel like crap. I'll let you know if I croak... That is all...

Been taking lots of vitamin C and Zinc. As well as Theraflu, Mucinex DM, Tylenol Cold, Vitamin Water, Herbal tea & LOTS OF SLEEP!!! I'm due though. I only get sick once every 7-8 years. So, I should count myself lucky I guess. Not feelin' too lucky right now though.

For me when I go into a new office or workplace I always get sick in the first month for like a week. Of course you got yours from the wifey.I guess my body adjusts to the climate control in the building, I had a nasty sore throat and fever when I started here two years ago.Good luck, hope you feel better. Sucks that your company won't let you dive into deficit for PTO. Ours does with approval, you just work it back. Sounds like you could use a solid day of bed time. But at least it's Thursday, one more to go man, then you can relax.

I would recommend staying away from croaking. I heard it's bad for your health.

I hear ya man. I just got over two colds in a row. I was sick for 3 weeks. I actually broke down and went to the doctor last week because I thought I had the flu and I hadn't slept in four days. Thankfully it wasn't. Needless to say I looked like a meth addict sitting in the waiting room. I got an antibiotic and it fixed me up good as new in a few days. Still hacking crap up every morning, but everything else is good. Now I'm eating the heck out of vitamins to get my immune system back up to maximum. I don't want to be sick again for a very long time.

Finally, starting to get over it. This thing kicked my a$$ this week. Glad to start feeling a little relief. Thanks for all the well wishes. The energy you all put out helped me to start recovering quicker. The wife is still sick though. Poor baby. We did manage to get out yesterday for her birthday for dinner and a movie. It wasn't easy. Lot's of kleenex & cough drops for both of us. Hopefully, she starts getting better soon too.
