Sputnik is January 2007 GenVibe Member of the Month (MotM)

Post by joatmon »

Sputnik is GenVibe Member of the Month for January 2007Sputnik received the following nomination:Quote, originally posted by "11/29/2006" »Name: SputnikReason:Sputnik is a real asset to Genvibe both as a fair and dedicated moderator and as a contributing member. She hit the forum and really added to the enthusiasm genvibers had for this new thing called a Vibe. Joined before genvibe was 2 months old and has been a constant active member ever since. She turned in a leased Cavalier to lease the Vibe, not the monotone Salsa Vibe she wanted but instead assumed someone else's canceled order to cut down the expected 4 month lead time to 6 weeks. Bought it when the lease was up last summer. As a proud member of the "No Mods" club, she shows you don't have to sink tons of cash into upgrading the car in order to like it. She's always been a voice of reason here, and had been a moderator in a few of the subforums, but on 11/5/2006, the site admins did a most excellent thing when they made her one of the site's global moderators (She has moderated me a couple of times, I deserved it , and she was fair and understanding) Sputnik is one of the good friends I have made here at GenVibe. She is one of the people greatly responsible for the good Vibes on this forum. So congratulations Sputnik, I am glad you are a genviber.-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-This month there were seven members in the running: AKLGT, Colonel Panic, damronjr, HawaiiPontiacLover (HPL), johostle, Sputnik, and zionzr2. HPL was nominated in October, so unfortunately her nomination won't carry over anymore (unless renominated), but the other nominees do. I am glad the winner selection process is random, since all of these nominees deserve to win, I couldn't pick one over the others, so to all who were nominated but didn't win, you should still feel honored. This month Sputnik becomes the thirteenth GenVibe Member of the Month. In case you missed any of the previous Members of the Month, they are:northvibe - December 2006NascarXprt - November 2006 - October 2006ArcsVibe - September 2006ragingfish - August 2006BlueCrush - July 2006GMJAP - June 2006Kari - May 2006ZubenElGenubi - April 2006POLO - March 2006MIVibe-ToolGuy - February 2006NSimkins - January 2006tnpartsguy - December 2005jahntassa - November 2005The thread for discussion and recommendations on the MotM process is http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=19029

Wow! I am truly surprised by this. I really enjoy coming to this forum every day and reading everyone's posts. I can honestly say that I have never participated in an online forum for as long as I have Genvibe. Thanks so much to everyone who makes Genvibe such an enjoyable place!

Update, yestaerday, 11/1/2007, a new MotM nomination was received for Sputnik, but she's already won, as shown by this thread, but here is what was submitted:Quote, originally posted by "11/1/2007" »Name: sputnikReason:Yeah, yeah. So what that Sput's a mod? She does a great job of moderating the forums. In fact, they all do. But, to this point, she is stepping in and really helping out with the VOTM poll and it's great to know that she's there to help.
