2006 Vibe air filter woes

Post by 5878 »

There are 2 engine air filters in the air filter box assembly. The large paper filter is obvious, and easily removed and replaced. Can someone tell me how to replace the thinner filter that is attached to the top portion of the box assembly on the underside. How do I remove it, and where can I get a replacement? I shouldn’t have to replace the entire air filter box assembly.

The upper "filter" is not replaceable. It is part of the emissions system. Just replace the engine air filter and you're good to go.

Correct, the filter in the lid is not replaceable.
