Signs of a bad computer, same computer for 1zz and 2zz?

Post by CNYDave »

2005 vibe 1zzfe, I have a P0016 cam sensor disagree code and the new alternator appears to not have fixed the overcharging problem (seemed to for awhile).

At night the lights started going dim and bright then battery, airbag, and check-engine lights came on, thinking of tossing a $50 used computer at it.

car-part didn;t ask if it was a 1zzfe or 2zz engine, are they the same computer?

1zz and 2zz use different computers.

Check your battery cables and grounds. If they're corroded, they will give you pseudoissues.

I agree with zbyers, make sure all the big connections leading from the battery and the alternator are good.
