Pioneer AVH-X1500DVD

Post by Pete9288 »

Hello to all. I’m a newbie so please be gentle lol. I am attempting to install a pioneer double din dvd receiver in my 2003 Vibe base. Got it all wired in but have no sound. Checked all wiring and it looks good. I’ve just read that there is a factory amp under the passenger seat and I believe that is the problem I have. Is there any way to wire up the amp? I don’t know what the amp feed wore colour is and can’t find any info. Any ideas that will point me in the right direction?? Thanks

Fixed. Connected the black trigger wire to the ignition switches wire. All is good in the world 😀😀

If you put the original headunit back in, do you have sound? If so, the issue isn't with the amp. It would be in the wiring jungle.

Edit: nice work. Glad you got it figured out!
