back in Da' Hood.

Post by Oldewing »

bought our Vibe in 04 and found this site then.

Fast fwd 12 or 14 years, and we still have it.

Forgot my old user name (think it was something like gjkjvibe) so I started a fresh.

Our 2004 base, Monochrome with Alloys, sun and tunes pak now has 176K on her. Been totaled twice, once wife ran a light and got hit, once by a hail storm. But held fast to them fixing our baby and it worked both times.

As for repairs, just mostly the normal, tires brakes and oil changes. did put a A/C compressor on, along with condenser just now. Plugs a couple of times, fan belt and tenioner. It did not fali, but it was cheap. 2 trans fluid changes.

Paint is falling off and had to replace the 6 disk player. Found one on ebay new in box for 75.00. Not a 6 disk but one disk and a cassette which is ok as I am old enough to have a bunch of tapes still........
2004 base, bought new, now seeking up on 200K
Blue Monochorme
Sun and tunes pak

Some times I wrestle with my demons, other times we just hug.....

Great idea. Then we can see who has aged more. The Vibe or it's owner
