new vibe owner

Post by cbr600f3 »

Picked up a 1 owner 2008 vibe base last saturday, high mileage (302,000 according to previous owner) but in good running condition. The car seems to be in great condition all around other then the miles. Previous owner installed a six speed at 150,000 when the factory tranny went out. I paid $3,200.00 the car came with spare rims with winter tires mounted on them, 2 new serpentine belts, new pre and post o2 sensors, and fluids to change tranny fluid out. When i get some pics on the net i will post them. The car is dk blue.
I have put 1200 miles on so far at an average of 33.1 mpg, all highway as i live in the middle of no where and take interstate 90 miles to work.

Trim on passenger door was missing 3 of the plastic clips but those have been fixed already.

Welcome and congrats on a nice looking Vibe! It sure has a lot of highway miles on it apparently, so the odometer is stuck at 299,999? There are several others in the same club as you with over 300K on their Vibes, but not any as new as yours.

Good luck with it!

Welcome to GenVibe :D I too am curious if your odometer turned over 300k miles or is stuck at 299999 like others have experienced. If it rolled over then you MUST post a snapshot of the cluster showing such. great find and it will easily roll on down the road for a few hundred thousand more miles.

Welcome to GenVibe! Props on posting pictures right away ;)! As others have already said, it looks really good for having ~302,000 miles on it!

Welcome aboard!! My wife had an '05 Vibe base that same color, and it has always been one of my favorites on the Vibe. Hoping you can continue to rack up the miles.

Welcome to GenVibe!
If the odometer is stuck at 299,999 you can use the one of the trip meters to keep up with the maintenance intervals.
"Neptune" is vibespeak for dark blue. I like it!

Did the odometer stick at 299,999 miles?

I had a dark blue 05 vibe. It was a great car. Congrats on the purchase, that really is an awesome color.
