No Supercharger = SLOW!!

Post by BlueCrush »

Wow! What a difference the S/C made. Now that it is off, it feels like I could run faster...hahahaha! :lol: It was fun while it lasted. I'm glad I was lucky enough to get one (and actually use it!) ;) . The Vibe should have had the much power from the factory. :roll:

Did you happen to keep enough records to make a cost to operate comparison of S/C vs stock?

Paid 20-25cents more and got 7miles less per gallon less with the S/C. I'm very happy to be able to buy regular gas again and enjoy the mpg increase. :)

At today's gas prices:

Cost per tank(AWD):
With S/C= $45.58 & 280 miles per tank
Without S/C= $43.34 & 358 miles per tank

Cost per mile:
With S/C= .163¢ per mile
Without S/C= .121¢ per mile

What was the reason for removing the S/C? And do you know how many miles you put on the S/C before you took it off?

Also welcome to the club haha, I definitely feel the AWD should have been a bit quicker!

I am handing it down to my stepson this fall, so I parted out to get some money back for a down payment on a different vehicle mor myself. I put approximately 25,000 miles on the S/C in the 18 months I had it on. It was slow for the 7 years previous, so I am no stranger to the powerless AWD. It just fell even more that the s/c is gone.

It's hard to imagine my 4WD Matrix without the SC. The words would be "HOLY SLOW"! 0-60 in 12+ seconds is painful, 0-60 in 8 seconds is great.

I still get 26 to 28 combo, 32 MPH Hwy.

Very Happy and well worth it even with all the hassles

in my personal experience, even the awd is slow supercharged...but only have c3z0n on mo.com to compare against...

i had the same issue when i popped the s/c off the yaris....was significantly less awesome to drive...
