I knew something was up with this price thing. I even said to my wife and a few others, watch, after the holidays the prices are going to rise again. And from the looks of other's posts here, its the trend all across N.A.Probably our government trying to give us false security so that we'd spend more for gifts and such during the holiday season. After the prices were slowly dropping, dropping, dropping for several months before, the best it got 'round these parts was $3.00/gal for reg. Less than two days after Christmas the price went up 0.10 ($3.10) and has been rising just as slowly as it fell ever since.Today my regular fuel stop was up to $3.13.I don't know about you all, but I don't like be played for the sucker, by the governemt or anyone else.

Since I keep all my gas receipts, I'll have to do a study of the rise, fall and rise of the gas prices in the Greater Austin area over the last several months.(Curious.)

Another Ottawa owner reports it cost him $1.69 extra on his bill per 100km driven.

$1.208/L. Fortunately dropped from $1.265/L where it sat for a few days. I'm not sure I want to know where it may head by summer again. At least I still typically squeak under the $50 mark for a fill right now ($48 on the last one, just after the light came on - 39.7L to fill).I've taken up walking as much as possible - so at least I can typically get a full week out of a fill now. Over 80% is just going to work and back
Quote, originally posted by star_deceiver »Filled up for $0.999/L 2 days ago... today it's $1.099/L.... Man - it's really all over the place for you out West, eh?In Ottawa I've consistently paid between $1.18 to $1.23 / L since about November. Ottawa people: do you have any favorite stations?I've been making a point to fill up at the McEwen on Richmond Rd. at Ambleside, for the last few months. It's consistently 1-2 cents cheaper than anything in the area, and directly on my route to work, but I have to put up with a slow-filling pump, and go inside to pay.

Feeling the vibe ---the ultramar on merivale road near emerald plaza is usually 1-3cents cheaper. as well as the one on montreal road between vanier parkway and st. laurent as well as the one on youville/st joseph. almost all ultramars are cheaper then anywhere else.
Last couple days my usual Sunoco Station was closed.I read somewhere thay were closen the less $$$$$$ maken stations.Wonder if it's 1 of them It was closed both in the AM & PM

In Georgia, when I put gas in my car Thursday, I paid $3.34 a gallon. Normally with that range, I put about $35 to $40 in & it can last me over a week depending on how much I'm in it.
$1.209/L for 91 octane, ethanol free in Calgary. Some of the reg pumps are now saying 10% ethanol... my last two tanks were form that 10% pump so we'll see what difference spending an extra $10 for premium gets mileage wise. Regular 87 was $1.079/L
Yesterday, $3.30 (3.299)/ gal. This morning, $3.40 (3.399/gal.)And though I had worked at Service Stations, when there were such things, I never got an answer to the age old question, why the 9/10 cent is ALWAYS there?? 'Anybody know, or have a theory?

Prices in Ottawa abruptly shot up on Saturday, and have stayed there through today. Going prices are $1.255 - $1.27 /L around town today, 5 cents above all of last week. It's gotta be hitting hard these days for anybody making less than $20/hr who has to fill up every week or more.

I paid about $3.439 on the last fillup. Where are those good old days of $0.999 gas?I saw on our news that there is a new station in our area that is having a price war with the station across the street. Regular unleaded was down to $3.149 vs about $3.499 elsewhere.Last time we had a gas war in our area, the older station did not have the digital price signs, so they resorted to putting up a sign that said " One cent less than across the street" just to keep up! LOL!

I'm rather envious of most of you still. So far this year, my average cost has been $4.61 per U.S. gallon, or $1.22/L for regular 87. My average cost per fill has been $48.58, and I've already spent $486 on gas just this year! I only drive when absolutely necessary, otherwise I walk - or I'd have spent notably more I'm sure.Yesterday I paid $125.5/L. Cost me $53 to fill:(Today I heard that the average price in the Montreal area went up to almost $1.45/L though - so I guess I can't complain too much. I'm sure I'll see at least that this summer though unfortunately...
