Congrats SN ! I think that is quite a profit for an 18 year old car. Thanks! I hate selling cars. I never know what to price it at. Obviously if you base it on emotional attachment, which is what a lot of people do, it would be overpriced. I knew the car wasn't in perfect condition, but the mileage...
Wow, if you can't drive a Matrix without running over the mailbox, then you should not be on the road. That's what I tell my wife anyway. What car did they arrive in? Was it the car at the curb? It looks like an older Passat to me. It is always a bit disorienting driving a rental or new car f...
So I listed my 03 Matrix XRS auto last night on CL (https://i.imgur.com/JavLaVD.png), and woke up to 3 people interested. 2 of them came and looked at the car tonight and took it for a test drive. Both couples were in their 60's, definitely not the demographic I thought would buy it. Well, anyway, t...

I don't have a problem with people that refuse to wear a mask.
Come November, fewer votes for Cadet Bone Spurs.
Finally got a chance to diagnose the problem today, and luckily it was just clogged, specifically the nozzles themselves. So whatever was in the line made it all the way to the nozzles and needed just a little bit more pressure with the air hose to blow it out.
For a quick diagnosis, swap the pumps around. If the front sprays, and rear doesn't, the pump is dying. If both are working, it's possible the fluid line is pinched or disconnected under the hood. Does the front and back use the same model pump? If so, didnt know that, but would definitely make it ...
Pretty sure mine is bad for the front nozzles. I barely get a small drip when I pull the wiper arm. I can hear the pump turn on but nothing really happens. The back I at least get it running out and not a spray, but I think that's normal for the back. So, has anybody replaced the pump before? Seems ...
yea, as the other 2 recommended, look up local salvage yards. That will be your best (aka cheapest) bet. Otherwise you can have your local GM dealer order you one probably.
Wanted to give a shout-out to joatmon for his excellent tutorial how to change the LCD backlight bulbs. I chose the route of clipping the original bulbs off leaving some existing wire and soldering to those. Might not be the prettiest soldering job, but it worked. Got my Kenwood pulled out tonight a...
I've hard-wired a dash cam to my 08 vibe, but I am not getting any power to it. The idea was to wire it to a fuse that is perpetually powered as I wanted to record video while the car was off and parked. The directions say: "maximum rating is to be no more than 20 amps." Not sure if it co...
zbyers wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2020 2:23 amYes, it fits all 03-08 Vibe/Matrix, and likely Corolla.
thats what I thought, but the official page doesnt even mention the Vibe. But looking at pics of engine compartments online they definitely look all the same.
79xxx kms on the KLR later... also, purchased another toy for the garage! That's pretty impressive. Both my dad and brother rode KLRs, but my dad rode his a ton more. Did several trips with a local thumper club, https://www.fssnoc.com/. My dad ended up selling his a few years back and went back to ...
548,332,200 seconds (give or take.) I wonder how many members (whether active on the site or not) are still the original owners of their Vibes after all these years? I suspect my better half is in quite an exclusive club in that regard. Don't think we'll ever let this car go. I probably would...
Wow, never noticed, but you joined up the second day this place was on-line. I feel like a noob Yea, not really a heavy poster, obviously. I guess that's the introvert in me. Tbh, I never realized I joined the 2nd day either. Just looked and I was the 8th person to join here. http://forums.genvibe....
STB is still on the car. Considering I'm looking to sell my car before the end of June I need to finish pulling everything off. The CAI and coils are posted on ebay, just never got around to updating this thread yet. As with a lot of these things, shipping is going to be high. The STB is not really ...
eat healthy and die anyway. I did all the social separation, have my masks, wash my hands very frequently, always cleaning the house per usual, and yet I"m down and out for the 6th day. If it wasn't for the dizziness, this would be just another flu for me (which I have not experienced in decad...
The state of Kansas cancelled all K-12 classes for the rest of this school year. Amazon has cancelled all non-essential incoming shipments to their warehouse. How long before the post office starts cutting back non-essential mail deliveries?
Interesting that the people in power who have been exposed are Republicans. Is that Higher Power they are always crowing about trying to tell us something? I especially love how one of the repubs in self quarantine is Matt Gaetz who showed up to work last week wearing an authentic gas mark. https:/...
See.....wasn't that a fun experience?? The next time, I'll just push my car over a cliff, take the insurance money and buy a one way plane ticket, and then buy another car at the other end. Much easier. Honestly, I would have loved to go get the car myself. For that to happen would require me to re...
Any issues, other than length of time? Yea. I ended up firing the 1st broker the 1st week of January. After I turned down his initial offer of paying $50 over the quoted price, he failed to find anybody else. Tried calling him to get an update one time, and he didn't answer his phone. So I hired a ...

the blue and blue/wht wires are indeed the antenna and amp leads. Orange wires are usually parking lights and dimmer wires. If your radio has neither, I wouldn't worry about them.
Doing body work is like welding. Absolutely anybody can do it. However, not everybody can do it well. You sir are definitely one of those that can. Looks great!
How were you "correct" since I only had to add a circuit and delete one? You had 2 things wrong, so common sense tells you that it wouldn't have worked had you only corrected one of the issues. I'll stay out of this electrical section from now on and let you "help" everyone else...
I could be interested in the Tokico Struts. How many miles do you speculate are on them? They were brand new when I installed them at the same time as the coils 4 years ago. It's hard to say the mileage because I really don't drive the car all that much. I bought the car with just under 68k in 2013...
If you do not have an account here, but would like to contact me, you can email me using my username @ Gmail.com Well, the time has come to sell parts off my car. Selling everything that will not increase the sale value of the car itself. Gonna start with what I have off the car for now, and will c...
Went to the Phoenix area over Christmas, in what will likely be my last road trip in my '03 Xrs. Turned over 100k just a few hours from home on my way back.
I obviously hit a nerve. I was asking here since it was a bunch of Vibe guys. I only had to add one circuit and delete another and it’s working fine. Again no need to start all the over if you take the time to trouble shoot. I was just hoping someone else maybe had the same issue that could point m...
Than you should know if you installed an entire system and it didn’t work you don’t unhook everything, you trouble shoot it, you don’t go back to the beginning. You write down everything you know and then start verifying circuits are getting the correct signals. If I had absolutely no clue what I w...
No offense but I was hoping for a response from someone with a working knowledge of a remote start system. Yea, been doing remotes starts, keyless entries, & vehicle security since 1993. I'm not the one asking for help because I can't figure out why it isn't working. But go ahead, you be you....
TBH, the best way to diagnose would be to disconnect everything and start hooking up a few things at a time. At the very least, you'll want to start with your power/ground wires. after those 2 things are hooked up, you should hear relays clicking when you hit lock/unlock on the remote keypad. If so,...
I do hope the broker keeps to the quote provided. Once they find a willing driver, sometimes that driver will balk at the price you set with the broker. The broker will then come back to you and ask for $50-$100 more. The worst part was when they delivered my car 2 days before I even got on a plane...
Sorry for all that; tried to warn ya. These companies have little old lady trolls who will continue calling you until you have depleted 3 bottles of xanax. The good news is, you will soon start to receive "I can take $75 off of our lowest price if you call today" phone calls and emails. Y...
If this were after the first of the year, a flight from PA to FL, and from KS back to PA wouldn't be the worst thing for me. I thought about asking my dad, but the flight would have been from AZ-->FL, drive to KS, fly back to AZ. Would have made it nice for him because his brother lives less ...
ho-lee-crap. Made the mistake of entering my (throwaway) email and phone # on a website, and within a minute I was bombarded with calls, texts, and emails. Prices as low as $650 and as much as $1250. This is anxiety inducing. Where is my Xanax?!?
Snagged an '06 with manual everything pretty recently and was looking at adding keyless entry with an aftermarket kit. That looks like a mechanical nightmare, but I did learn that the actuators are already part of the door latches ... at least the connectors are there. The manuals I've been able to...
I would say the biggest concern would be the depth. The OEM sub is pretty shallow. As far as the OEM amp, sure it might be able to power it, but the #1 reason speakers blow is distortion from UNDER-powering them.

If you have the time, you may want to fly one way to where this car is located, then simply drive it back! That's what I did when I acquired my 2004 Vibe GT almost two years ago.
Have you ever ran aftermarket bulbs that were over the OEM recommended wattage? If so, you might have damaged the plug. I had to solder new connectors on both of mine because it basically melted them from higher wattage bulbs. if the connectors look ok use a multimeter and check the voltage at each ...
