Quick update. Traced the wires to the switch, the yellow wire is controlled by the switch and powers the signal to the PCM for the AC signal. That's why I went with the AVS. The 3m adhesive is super strong. Also, AVS is a direct supplier to GM, as that is what my parents got from the dealer for their Sonic.

Well, I spent about a week of my shutdown at the house in Bellevue. Then, about three days in Erie, then back to Bellevue for a nice 3 days. Next road trip is back to Ohio for the family reunion in the Toledo area.

Mine is icey at idle. I think you may need a recharge. Or you may have a slipping compressor clutch or loose belt.

I would think some form of expanding foam would do well. Something for windows and doors that stays less than rigid. That might do well in conjunction to dyno mat on the steel panels.

It doesn't so much stiffen as it softens in reality. The dyno mat absorbs the vibrations in the same way a sponge absorbs water. Dyno mat on a cymbal will absorb all the vibrations and make it "thunk" instead of ring. Putting insulation in the doors would reflect heat and deaden somewhat, ...

Thanks all! lol, the 5 speed transmissions kinda suck long-term... Weak link in the drive train? Seems to shift great, although the shifter reach is pretty long, I wonder if they make a short shift kit for this vibe :o Taking a nice road trip so we'll see how it does loaded with camping and fishing...

Mythbuster Jamie Hyneman(sp) would most likely suggest lard as a good lubricant.

Most others suggest white lithium, which can yellow with age (contamination). I used white lithium every year on my sunroof on the Sunfire. Never gave me an issue. The frame on the sunroof glass rusting did though. Lol

This happened in a van I used to own. In the end it was the cruise actuator motor. Come to think of it, I also had to do this in my sunfire. Both times it was the module inside the engine bay that the cable is connected to.
