I believe the prius also has a roof panel to help ventilate the car and power the AC, not too sure on the AC, but a former co-worker has one and claims the car stays cool in the summer for when he gets into it.

Re: (hotbug1776)

Well, yesterday I got my first CEL with her. P0133 O2 sensor. Still under warranty (Bosch), so, I'll try another one since its free. This will be the fourth sensor in her life since build date with the original lasting longest. In other news, I upped the idle to 1000-1100 rpm to make dead starts eas...

Re: (Persephone)

Me too, the manual trans is a bit harder to get going when your throttle is delayed by a second or two. It's hard enough to get rolling since the motor is so weak and pitiful. Then again, I think it's a lot like driving a go-cart once you get moving so that more than makes up for the initial take of...

My wife is sick of hearing about how I always wanted to take an Amtrak ride, like the one out west or the one to Alaska. LOLAnd now, I'm hearing in the news about a resurgence in the rail industry due to the price of fuel. I may soon get that trip on the rails, what an awesome vacation that would be.

Re: Started a new job today. (BlueCrush)

Did another tour today. The parts we make for mine dump trucks are HUGE. I'm really excited about all this. Since a little kid, I've loved model trains and loved train rides (what little boy doesn't). Now, I'm actually a part of it. I hope I do good, you get nervous when you are learning a new job.

eBay or amazon look up pioneer brake bypass. It's a relay that turns on the ground after the unit is turned on via the remote lead. To use the "auto eq" you will also need to wide in a switch that grounds the ebrake while the unit is off for a few minutes. Or temp disconnect the relay. I j...

Started a new job today.

I started a new chapter in my life today with my new job at GE Transportation. It's a major upgrade in pay, and a SWEET benefits package. I also am now on voluntary overtime. This does, of course, mean mods will come quickly. As well as lots of money to put away for my future.

Need to re-run part of the main power wire as it missed the grommet (darn grommet popped out of the hole!!), but, it will do for now until I can get some time to re-do it properly. I must say, it's so loud I actually had to set the bass at a -8 on the headunit, since it contro...

just to throw this out there...Would the scangauge be a "solution" to this issue?I mean, does it count mileage? If so, with all the other extras it comes with, would it be a good value for a solution.OrWhen the odo stops counting, does the ecu stop counting as well?
