56,000 and no clutch problems yet. It must be an adjustment issue at the factory. Good luck to those of you who have to deal with that headache.

Valve Adjustments?

I was thumbing through my owner's manual to make sure that I was up-to-date on maintainance (I know, I lead such an amazing life) and I noticed that they recommend a valve-adjustment at 60,000 miles. Has anyone reached 60,000 yet? I'm at 44,000 and closing fast. Is this valve-adjustment interval rec...

Re: Vibe Falling Apart (GonzagaVIBE_03)

When I read your post, I thought that you were talking about my vibe. Minus the cracking incident, I have had the same problems, plus an unexplained squeeking from the rear axle that, after four attempts, they still couldn't remedy. Also, add to that a defective remote keyless entry, and you have my...

Well, I just found this thread, so I'm a little late in the game but guess what. I just found out I own 400167 which would make my vibe one of the first few to ever roll off the line. It makes sense since I purchased it in March of 02.

Re: 400+ miles to a tank!!!!!! (johnsoax)

Alright. I held off from saying anything as long as I could. Believe it or not, I consistently get around 36-37 mpg (hwy) in a GT. I usually get about 31-33 mpg in town and I would not classify myself as a conservative driver. I recommend to all of those who are only getting in the 250 to 300 range ...

Re: gas usage (ColonelPanic)

I don't know if I just got a good car, but I usually end up with about 32-35mpg on the highway and 29-31 in town. I guess I drive pretty conservatively. It does matter, however, where you get gas.

Re: missouri.... (philndz)

It just so happens that I am at CMSU 5 days a week. I commute from Blue Springs in a silver GT. I've already racked up 23,000+ miles since MAR02. Maybe I'll see ya around.

Rear wheel/axle squeaking.

I have a squeak that is coming from the rear wheel or axle at low speeds. I don't think that it is the caliper rubbing and I have taken it to two different dealerships that can't find the problem. Somewhere between a tenth and a quarter mile of driving, it usually goes away, only to return the next ...
