it'll probably be about 800 lbs, The 2006 owners manual says it has a cargo+passengers weight limit of 1000 lbs so you should be ok The 06 manual doesn't say anything about roof load maximum, but the 03 manual says its 75 lbs. I expect it can take more than that, but can't say if greatly exceeding ...

glad its just the radio. One gotcha to be aware of is that Vibes have powered antennas. There's a wire that should get 12V whenever the radio is on, or when the key is in either acc or on/run. for an 06 like yours, a receiver that fits an 03-08 Vibe or an 03-08 Matrix will fit

I have never seen a 2" receiver for those years cars. I'd guess it has something to do with the limited tow rating, compared to bigger, heavier duty vehicles

and when you try rotating the tires, well chock the wheels on the ground, and when the back left tire is off the ground, put the car in neutral and try spinning the wheel by hand. Might be hard to get it up to 5 mph, but maybe the sound will still be noticeable

If I understand it I should be able to jumper 1 and 2 and if the compressor kicks in then I have a bad switch. If not then I have a $$$ repair, or a cool weather only car.
