Blower switch replacement

Hello,
My switch seems to have shorted out and actually melted the plastic bezel at the number 2 fan setting and now the fan only work on the number 3 and 4 settings. Any ideas why this would happen and how to fix it?

Thanks

3rd brake light

I was trying to replace the bulbs in there and cannot figure out how to get the mount off of the back window. I have removed the plastic cover and the two 10 mm bolts. I was trying to remove the electrical connection and wasn't able to twist it out. I must be missing something simple.

Thanks.

Re: Exhaust question

It does help. I think I will just stop by a local shop and see what ideas they might have.

Thanks for the info.

Exhaust question

I know this is the engine room but I figured the exhaust was sort of related... I noticed the other day that I have a puddle coming from my muffler and now a small hole has started. I guess its time to upgrade. I don't have the funds to do a full system, with header and new cat, but I am looking at ...

Re: Wanted: CAI, steering wheel, auto shift knob

I have a green AEM CAI that am removing from my car if you are interested. It would come with 2 filters, the original and a K & N unit. I would like $ 45 for it. I can take pics if you are interested.

I also looked at that site and saw that the same model fits both models. I hope you find what you are looking for.

I don't know what the difference in intakes for the GT and non GT engines are, but I have an '03 base model that has a green AEM unit on it. I also have a K&N cone filter along with the original that I want to sell. I will be in your area between the holidays and can bring it along if this works...

Unfortunately the terminal is growing the green ludge of death and from what I am told, once that starts there is no stopping it. The terminal is nearly broken off and the end of the cable that I can see is also green. I guess I am in for an adventure with this one.

Battery cable

It seems that I need to replace my positive cable and according to the dealer, my only choices are to replace the entire wiring harness or take it to a shop and have them splice a new one in. I called some local parts stores and the best they can do is a new battery terminal. Any other ideas out the...

Could be the new generation Maxima or Altima, they have the shortened rear deck and both are 4 door cars.

Re: CAI & CEL?'s (Daren)

I was able to get the codes and they were both pointing towards the evap system. It almost seems like I missed a connection somewhere. I guess I'll pull the big tube out of the way and see if there is an exposed port somewhere and figure that part out later.

CAI & CEL?'s

Just installed an AEM CAI and have a CEL so I went through to make sure all the vaccuum line are connected (correctly I hope) and reset the CEL. I still seem to have the light on and am wondering if I missed something or routed the lines wrong. Could it be that I damaged the MAF sensor? How can I te...

That new Ford Trasit is interesting but I think that dihatsu looks like a modern VW Thing. Didn't need to be re-done.

New to the forum and recent Vibe recipient.

Have an '03 that is silver. Haven't done anything to it but am interested in some performance mods. Any suggestions? A good CAI would be a nice start. Thanks,Daren
